The 8 places wellness energy leaks
Aug 16, 2026 · 5 min read · WF-IWI · coaching · measurement
Wellbeing advice is everywhere. Measurement that a coach can sit with in a session is not. WF-IWI™ maps eight life dimensions so you can see the gap between what matters and what is actually lived — not which type someone is.
This brief is for coaches, counselors, and HR leads who need a clearer starting point than a vibe or a label. Every Dimension Report issue: one pattern from assessment data, and what to do with it.
The eight dimensions
Body & Energy — sleep, nutrition, movement, and whether recovery is allowed. Mind & Recovery — emotional awareness and bounce-back. Relationships & Connection — who recharges and who drains. Work & Achievement — meaning, strengths, and boundaries.
Growth & Exploration — learning and stretch. Meaning & Purpose — why the week matters. Finance & Environment — background security and the space that sets defaults. Self-Exploration — the inner work clients call essential and rarely schedule.
The pattern we keep seeing
Self-Exploration often shows the widest importance–satisfaction gap. Clients rate it as essential — and give it the least calendar time. That gap quietly drains the rest of the map: mind, work, and relationships all pay interest on unfinished inner work.
In a session, the useful object is not a flattering average score. It is the gap: high importance, lower lived experience. Start the conversation there.
What to try this week
Ask one Self-Exploration question before diving into performance or sleep. Protect 20 minutes that is not “productivity.” Re-measure in 8–12 weeks with the same instrument so change is visible on the same eight axes.
